Annual Training Programs:
Red Lion Wrestling Club is an annual based club that is everything wrestling! We train to perfection based on an annual competition schedule and work backwards. The format is a development based stucture working on corrections. The philosophy is 4 easy steps- 1) Learn, 2) Drill, 3) Correct and 4) Perfect then Repeat! Training on an annual basis will benifit any wrestler of any age or level. It will shorten the development curve dramatically by constant improvement leaving no time wasted relearning technique. All of the practices are for any wrestler which desires to get better regardless of age or skill level. Red Lion Wrestling Club believes that success does not come from chance, it comes from preparation!
Red Lion Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization operated out of the LaSalle H.S. wrestling room. We are dedicated to the sport of wrestling and driven to improve & grow the sport of wrestling for 1st year wrestlers through college. RLWC offers annual training to help improve your development.
Pre Season (September-October):
Pre season training offers wrestlers the capability to train whether you are training for a National Preseason event or you are simply looking to improve. Pre Season training will help you get a jump on the competition with continual development and help prepare for the regular season.
Winter Season (November- March)
In season wrestling is designed to keep the level of competition and the training schedule at a high level. By competing with an aggressive schedule and using a correction based learning technique, we are able to make the right steps for future success.
Post Season (March-July):
Red Lion WC will continue your wrestling development after the folkstyle season through freestyle & Greco Roman wrestling. Train in the international styles to improve your game. Practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 6:30-8. RLWC members will be able to compete with proven workable technique at USAW-OH state qualifiers, UWW Nationals, USAW Regionals & USAW Nationals.
Freestyle has proven to assist with development. There have been factual studies of wrestlers that had competed at USAW Nationals at Fargo & their success at the NCAA National tournament. We have witnessed the top H.S. wrestlers in the country compete at freestyle national & world events & their continued success in folkstyle. This is NOT a coincidence!
