Our biggest petpive is when a club coach holds a camp for his own team at a ridiculous price. Is he planning to teach you something new? Why wouldn't he just show everything during the normal season? Because he cares about one thing... your money. Our focus is much different. We know that camps are a valuable way for wrestlers to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge base. We offer three different types of camps, each with it's own benefits. None of which are focused on anything but making the team better.
Focus Camps allow wrestlers to focus in on a certain time of the year. They have a very focused agenda such as peaking for a national tournament. The goal is to expand the room beyond our normal team by bringing in outside wrestlers and offering practices at a higher frequency. This helps the wrestlers to gain a different look and feel and prepare for said event.
Hosting camps is a great way to get better. We work with our team all year long. Having our staff host a camp to teach them the same thing is a waste of their time and a waste of their money. Instead, we choose to bring in the outside coaches. We import the best technicians around the country to run our camps. This provides a unique look and feel. It helps expand our teams technical base and helps to develop a new style for our program.
Our traveling camp is one of the more unique aspects of our club. Nobody else does anything like it. We have hosted traveling camps for about ten years. The concept is simple... we take our team and travel to several locations to best serve our team. By traveling we are able to combine coaches from several locations rather than one geographic area. Most of our traveling camps run during the summer and fill up very quickly. The focus is on building a foundation and an interest in the sport. The camps are not aimed at grinding out a week of live wrestling. They are focused on growing as a wrestler and a person.
Our focus is on development. If we are going to offer a camp it's going to be in the best interest of our team. We strive to offer the very best wrestling club in the country. By focusing on what counts and not financial gain, we are able to grow as a program.
